About Soniya Behrens

Soniya has been in the dental field for over 25 years and describes it as a job she is truly passionate about. She trained as a Dental Hygienist in New York, working there for many years before returning to the UK and joining the Behrens Dental team.

As Lead Dental Hygienist, Soniya plays a central role in the practice's preventive and periodontal care programme. Her detailed approach to scale and polish, oral hygiene instruction, and periodontal maintenance helps patients keep their gum health between specialist appointments — a key part of the Duo-Lase periodontal maintenance pathway.

She has also trained in aesthetic medicine, including Botox, dermal fillers, phlebotomy, and mesotherapy facials. She is a registered Dental Hygienist and member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy.
