Dental implants for Knightsbridge patients start with a consultation and 3D scans at our South Kensington practice. Dr. Lior Burg and Dr. Georgios Kolaitis plan and place the implants, and because they also treat gum disease, your gums are made healthy before any implant goes in.
- Consultation and 3D scans. A health review and detailed scans of your jaw, gums and bone.
- Placing the implant. A minor procedure under local anaesthetic. If the bone has shrunk since the tooth was lost, bone grafting or a sinus graft can rebuild it first.
- Healing. Usually three to six months while the implant fuses with the bone, with a temporary tooth so you are not left with a gap.
- Your new tooth. The custom-made crown, bridge or full arch is fitted.
- Looking after it. Regular periodontal maintenance keeps the gum around each implant healthy.

Active gum disease needs treating before an implant is placed, because infected gum can weaken the bone that holds it. This is where our practice differs: the dentists who place implants here also treat gum disease, so we can make your gums healthy first and then plan the implant.
Do you see new patients for emergency appointments?
Yes. New patients are welcome, including for emergencies. We keep time free every day for same-day appointments and see walk-ins when we can. If you are in pain, call us as early in the day as you can, and we will do our best to see you that day.
